The Rack is a new adventure written by Ben Blattberg for Dead Mall, a Survival Horror TTRPG by John Patrick Cooper/Dystopian Games.
Since ancient days (at least the 1960s), a creeping force of Darkness has been slowly conquering the Mid-Island Mall: Richard Nixon. Now (1995), the spirit of Nixon is preparing a final ritual to banish youth culture and freedom from the mall forever. All he needs is to sacrifice some hapless teens who wander in after hours—that’s you!
Inside this adventure you will find:
- A full history of the mall, which is definitely not just an excuse for me to quote Walt Whitman!
- Over a dozen monsters from history and mythology like Reagan rat-things, white supremacist vampire Charles Lindbergh, a curiously recognizable fast-food chimera and many others!
- A fully detailed Dead Mall featuring 40+ stores and locations, not counting all the terrible bathrooms!
- Loose guidance on tweaking the rules to make the mall more forgiving or more deadly!
Can you survive the night or even destroy the forces of evil in the Mall? Or will you be stretched until you fit in with everyone else in… The Rack!
